charly moeller’s comments regarding the multi purpose building prenzlau (sports and culture building)

the multi purpose building was made available for school sports and sportive outside activities by an arcade. the structure has a direct access via the new schoolyard leading from the southern edge of the site to the building. by those measures greenery can be placed in order to support the pedagogical standards of a school. this design provides people with an inspiring learning environment. the new square at the planstrasse enables the multi purpose and school building to be accessed and interconnects it with the kinder garden building.

the design of the site embeds as much in the landscape as in the existing building context.

the multi purpose building redefines the urban space and enlarges the quality of the whole surrounding area.
